...but i have been really disappointed with the season finales i've watched. bones just made me go 'what?' while ncis made me go 'oh, please.' and on top of that, the scc has been canceled.
bad time to be a fan of strong women characters as they're retconned and disappeared along with any sense of organic storytelling. but at least some semblance of misogyny is alive and well.

The more a woman's quirks can be read as diminishing her authority in relation to Gibbs; the more likely she'll live to see next season. Director, dead. Kate, dead and brought back to be a ghost in hooker-gear. Abby, as much as I like her, makes herself childlike and frames him with parental authority, and so takes the longevity prize.

and jenny's death was particularly heinous. here's this character who's supposed to be tough and decisive and sharp and what does she think about? a lot about flashbacks of her and gibbs in bed.
and her death is all so stupid and her decisions so questionable that it undermines her character completely.
and abby? yeah. i can't decide if it's more that she's making herself childlike and that how gibbs sees her, as an affectionate parental or if he just pats her on the head and considers her his pet.
oy, i'm just bitter as all hell, aren't i?
